1930/31 FORD RUMBLE SEAT ROADSTER                                                          $35,995.00

This is such a Period Hot Rod with an original steel body and the always popular rear Rumble seat. We’ll start with the body. It’s an all steel body with a Steel 1932 Grille and Stainless Steel insert. It has ’32 Windshield Posts on ’31 Stanchions and a ’31 Closed car windshield with 1950 Pontiac Tail Lights. The Frame is a Custom’32 Ford Frame from Southern Street Rods, South Carolina which is Boxed and Z’ed. The Engine is really cool being a 1955 Oldsmobile Rocket 88, 324 cubic inch V8, 275 horsepower approximately, bored .30 over. It had a custom valve job and the engine was balanced. It has Silvolite Pistons, Edelbrock Aluminium Tri-Power Intake Manifold with 3 Holley 94 Carburetors with a progressive linkage, NOS Water Pump, Fuel pump and Distributor. The Exhaust Headers are from Johhny’s Speed Shop, Oklahoma City and are Powder Coated by Rewarder Headers in Camarillo, CA. This is all coupled to a 1996 era General Motors 5-speed gearbox with a Summit Shifter. It has a Ford 9-inch rear end, narrowed by Driveline Services who also supplied the Custom Drive Shaft. The Front End utilizes a Superbell front axle, Aluminium 7lb Backing Plates from Wilson Welding, Austin, Texas. The brake drums are Polished and from a ’63 Buick Riviera. It has a Chevy Vega steering box and a Lime Works Steering Column. The Speedometer, Water Temperature, Fuel Gauge and Ammeter are all Stewart Warner Gauges that fill the 1932 Ford Dashboard and it has another water Temperature Gauge in the Engine Bay Bulkhead facing toward the engine. It has a 1932 Ford Gas tank, Heated Seats by Jimmy Z and Guide 682-C Headlights with built in turn signals. The build, body work and paint were done by Ray O’Brien, Goleta, Ca, Engine by Jim Weston, Auto Pro Race Engines, Goleta, Ca, Custom Radiator by Roy Weston, Auto Parts Restoration, Goleta, Ca, Custom Wiring by Mike Eby, Santa Barbara, Ca, Chrome by Atlas Plating, Oxnard, Ca and the Aluminium Floor by John Tilford, Tilford Welding, Santa Barbara, Ca. Finished in 1955 Chevrolet Gypsy Red with 1979 Corvette Oyster White Upholstery and Black Convertible Top.
