According to Bentley vehicle history this car was among the very first produced by Rolls-Royce/Bentley following WWII. Navy blue and black exterior, Straight 6 with original factory sunroof.
Unrestored but well cared for, this Mark VI runs smoothly, is mechanically sound with records and receipts. 103,000 mi. on original engine. Garage stored and maintained only by Bentley trained mechanics.
Imported to Canada in the 1970s, this Bentley has aged well. Being a classic British right hand drive vehicle, this Sports model also features suicide doors and a right-hand floor shifter for the 4 speed transmission.
Once advertised as "The Silent Sports Car", it starts readily at the touch of a push button and settles into a smooth, quiet idle. The transmission shifts easily and the brakes are good. Steering effort is light and the car handles well. This was the first Bentley designed to be driven by its owner, rather than a chauffeur.
The large sunroof allows the sun to highlight the beautiful burl wood dashboard. The Instruments function as they should, all the lights work, including the driving lights and center-mounted headlight.
As well as the original English registration plates I have BC Collector plates on the car as it is all original (including RCA Victor radio). I have repaired the electrical, redone the front end (king pins, bushings), new brakes and had the engine mounts replaced. There are a few little rust spots around the rear wings, a couple of minor scrapes and dings and the car could use fresh paint. The leather interior is original but could also use refurbishment.
Included with the car is the original tool kit, a shop service manual, and an owner's manual. Service records dating back to 2003.
