1971 Pontiac GTO - Auction - Carlisle, PA - This car comes with documentation from the first owner right to present. This includes mileage, repairs maintenance, Protecto-O_Plate, owner's manual, PHS documentation, build sheet, (as found), and window sticker. Based on the documentation, it appears to have never been exposed to snow or salt and has been driven only 30,000 miles in the last 29 years with 10,000 of that total over the last 5 years I have owned it. The body and frame was ( and is ) solid with no rust or rot. In 2009 this car was mechanically restored and upgrades installed to insure trouble- free completion of the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour. This car traveled from Connecticut to Iowa, then through the south to Mobile AL and back to Connecticut (4400 miles) in two weeks without a single problem. After the Tour the body was soda blasted to bare metal( no rust found!), surfaces made straighter than stock and painted. The interior was completely redone in black and gray.
