Completely restored 2008. Lovingly cared for.

Airstream built the Cruiser for 5 years. Not many were made, which makes the remaining ones "rare finds". According to the Airstream factory, this unit was probably built in 1951 due to the serial number, but was actually sold in 1952. It is built with all-aluminum walls and includes the distinct 13-panel end cap design and early tilt-out radius-cornered windows. Numbers of our friends in the trailer restoration industry have told us our trailer is a highly-regarded and admired restoration. It always receives the highest praise and
compliments.

Our complete shell-off restoration took two full years. We completely replaced the plywood deck, strengthened the frame, added holding tanks, completely re-insulated the walls and floor, and re-finished the bathroom in stainless steel. We stripped and re-sprayed auto quality interior paint to match the original paint color. We laid new Farbo Marmoleum sheet flooring which reflects the original style. We removed, stripped, rebuilt and resealed all the windows. We stripped and polished the interior end caps, which adds a warm glow of light to the interior.

We completely stripped, stained and varnished all the existing cabinetry. We also added a new vintage-style real birch-paneled dinette and shelf cabinet to match the existing original birch cabinetry. We polished and chrome-plated the original interior fixtures, adding hardware and bright trim to brighten the interior. We installed all-new electrical, water, propane, phone, cable and stereo systems. The final touches were exterior bright polish, vintage-style striped canopy and window awnings, that truly transformed this well-built trailer into a beauty.

Frame and tongue have been custom-reinforced with diagonal braces in front to support an extended tongue and added weight, with custom frame rails to support holding tanks. Custom-made spare tire rack, LP bottle rack, new 10K# coupler & 2K# jack, safety chains and break-away switch. Comes with original jack wheel, rubber wheel chocks, and original set of corner jack stands.
Frame completely stripped and protected with two coats of POR-15 black gloss metal coating, then UV-protected with Rust-Oleum exterior gloss black enamel.
Original entrance door with unique door-within-a-door screen door insert. Door completely rebuilt, re-screened and gasket sealed. Stainless steel deadbolt on front door for security. Two complete sets of keys included.

Includes front bulkhead cabinet that houses fresh water tank and water pump. Includes storage compartment and drawers, and electrical service & coach battery compartment.
