This Mercedes 300SL Roadster is sequentially the 76th car built out of just 241 in 1960 and is one of the few with the far more attractive full-flutted "European Version" headlights. The odometer likewise indicates in kilometers rather than in miles. It's fitted with both hard and soft tops as well as beautiful factory fitted luggage. In addition to this, the car has full books and a complete tool kit as well. The car was originally delivered in Europe where it remained until the Summer of 1964 when the original owner exported it to California. It was road-registered there sometime in 1964 on California "Black and Yellow" plates. A very beautiful set of period "ROTUNDA" seat belts with the Date Code of "7-64" or "July 1964" likely fitted when the car arrived in the States remain fitted to the car to this day.
Today this particular 300SL has been carefully preserved and conserved by her former owners having covered only 75,000 kilometers (46,000 Miles) from new. This matching numbers example is also finished in the best color combination of DB180 (Silver Metallic) with black leather interior. There is absolutely no rust or accident damage anywhere. All services are completely current and up to date with perfect compression, no-smoke, perfect gearbox, and synchros. The car is overall mechanically superb. Excellent door gaps and a laser straight body make this an absolutely stunning car. For only, $1,295,000.
