--Red with Red leather interior and Red carpeting, Right hand drive, 4-speed David Brown gearbox, Chrome wire wheels, 1 of only 95 Series V DB4 Vantage’s produced and one of even fewer Series V Vantages with covered headlamps.
This Series 5 DB4 Vantage was originally delivered to the firm of Stimpson, Lock & Vince, Watford, Herts through Aston Martin franchise dealer Brooklands on July, 4, 1963.
In late 1964, this DB5 was traded to Ramsey Motors, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, UK and then went through a series UK dealers until purchased by A.E. Harrison, Balby, Doncaster. Mr. Harrison owned this DB4 until 1970 when traded to Plains Garage, Nottingham, UK. Later that year it was sold to Leslie D. Nichols and made its way South to Essex. The history is somewhat unclear until the DB4 is sold to H.J. Sibley residing in Cornwall, UK.
In 1978, this DB4 Series V Vantage was sold by Mr. Sibley and found its way to the colonies where it was now owned by D. Leisher and exported to Spokane, Washington, USA. Circa 1980, the DB4 was sold on to Dennis Walker, Seattle, Washington. In 1983, it was sold once again to Norman Britting, Sumner, Washington only to be sold to its next new ownership, California AMOC member C. Spranza, Woodside, California. In 1986, it was purchased by Ken Boyd, lovingly known for his partnership with Aston Martin Dorset, but located in Needles, California and doing business under the name of Aston Martin Service Needles. Ken was instrumental in helping just about every Aston owner in the USA at some time or another.
During Ken’s ownership and approximately twenty years ago, Ken rebuilt the engine on this DB4. Although it had limited miles since the rebuild, it has not run since. Shortly after Ken’s passing in 2007, the DB4 was sold to Rick Swanson, Virginia Beach, Virginia. At this time, it was Painted from Black to its current shade of Red.
According to factory build sheet, this DB4 Series V Vantage was originally finished in Snow Shadow Grey with Red Connolly upholstery.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a very important and desirable DB4 Series V Vantage. Recommission for use as is or restore to its former glory.
