1973 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia - $15,900 - Washington, DC - Nice solid example of the very pretty and popular Karman Ghia Convertible. Local MD car that has been well cared for and always garaged. Nice straight body with very good paint that appears to be color change from original green. Has couple small spots of rust on lower drivers side front rocker and upper passenger side door but otherwise very rust free thru out. All chrome is very good as well as glass and trim. We will be installing new engine compartment weather stripping before sale as it hasn't arrived yet. Interior is very correct and in nice shape overall. Door panels, seats, dash, carpets and top are all quite good and really ready to go. All gauges, lights, signals etc. function properly and has newer CD player and modern speakers for good tunes. Underneath the car is excellent with new pans from front to rear and pictures available upon request. Still has original 1584 CC engine that runs fantastic and has good compression and oil pressure. No major leaks to speak of with good power. Transmission is really good with great smooth shifting and excellent clutch. Front suspension is fairly new and brakes are very good all around. Has new battery with factory wheels and nearly new tires. Front compartment is solid and comes with factory owners manual and original spare and jack. Overall a real solid driver that is ready for some top down, spring and summer fun.
