1973 Porsche 914 - $22,900 - Grand Rapids, MI - The perfect balance and plenty of fun factor is how these 914 2.0L's were advertised by Porsche and is still true today with these fun little two seaters. The 914 offered 3 variations with the 4 cylinder, the 1.7 and 1.8 were inexpensive enough to attract the budget buyer, but the person that wanted a value and still have a fun car to drive in all gears optioned for the 2.0L that had more low-end torque and more total horsepower.
The 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 liter offered here is one of the finest 2.0 liter examples that has graced our showroom floor. The car is equipped with air conditioning, rarely seen on the 914, and the appearance group package which includes polished bumper inserts, special interior trim, center console and optional aluminum wheels. This selectively restored example shows just 28 862 believed to be original miles and is finished in its original light ivory exterior paint, over very lovely black interior. Mechanically the car is outstanding. The original 2.0 liter pulls strong in every gear, the 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly up and down, and the brakes stop straight and true. The sheet-metal, floors, and rockers are excellent, under the bonnet is tidy and the wheels have been restored as new. The rare A/C option functions properly and blows cold. The car is also fitted with upgraded Monza dual exhaust giving it a great sound.
The Porsche 914 2.0 liter is one of the most well balanced sports cars produced and high quality examples such as this are in short supply. With the demand for these cars now coming from all four corners of the globe they are proven investments and a blast to own and drive.
