1967 Triumph - Auction - Newnan, GA -

Developed for the California market where desert and beach racing were popular.  This meticulously restored example is a rarity considering how few were produced and even fewer survived.  A tach only was provided instead of a speedometer.  Special weight saving measures were taken such as replacing the battery in favor of their Energy Transfer ignition system and redesigning the frame with a single downtube but adding stiffening plates.  Mufflers were eliminated for straight through pipes exiting just below the engine.  The twin cylinder engine is 650 c.c's producing 54 h.p with an Amal carburetor.  Weight is only 350 lbs allowing for a top speed of 120 mph.  The engine on this bike is stamped T120TT / DU61536.
