1959 Ford Thunderbird - $22,900 - St. Louis, MO -

Known affectionately as the ‘Square Bird”, this particular body style was only produced for 3 years and represents the first of the larger bodied 4-seater T-birds, the introduction of the 2 door hardtop, and the complete departure from the 2-seater roadsters produced from 1955 to 1957.
This wonderful 1959 Ford Thunderbird hardtop is direct from a western collection and boasts a very well kept and hardly used older restoration that remains in terrific condition throughout! Powered by the powerful and reliable 352ci 4bbl V8 linked to smooth shifting Cruise-O-Matic transmission, and fitted with favored options such as working Select-Aire air conditioning, power steering and brakes, power driver seat, heater with defrost, original pushbutton AM radio, all tinted glass, exterior rearview mirror, upgraded 15” TruSpoke chrome wire wheels fitted with white sidewall tires, fender skirts, windshield washer, and more! The only item found not working is the original dash clock. This Thunderbird, finished in beautiful Rangoon Red with all new Red and White interior upholstery, is as stunning to see as it is to drive! It was treated to a professional frame up exterior and interior restoration between 1995-1997 and has never seen inclement weather of any kind, and has been wonderfully maintained ever since! More recently, the car received an entirely rebuilt engine, all new ignition system, fully rebuilt transmission, and resealed rear end! This was completed in October of 2009 and has traveled exactly 401 miles since! Also replaced during this mechanical overhaul were all shocks; front end components like control arm bushings, new pitman arm, sway bar bushings & brackets, new power steering pump, hoses, & cylinder; all new door weather stripping, and more! Included with the car will be all service records dating back to 1992, a correct spare tire, jack, and lug wrench stowed neatly in the trunk compartment. Whether a trained aficionado, or the dedicated enthusiast, this Thunderbird will impress the next owner with both its great looks and drivability!
