![1968 Chevrolet Camaro]()
1968 Chevrolet Camaro - $29,995 - Atlanta, GA - Street Machines seem to have all the fun. You're wrapped in classic sheetmetal you've got plenty of power under the hood and you're looking tough with just the right mix of factory and aftermarket parts. That's this 1968 Camaro to a "T." Great paint trick wheels a brand new 350 a cowl induction hood and a clean interior. Who doesn't like that? The beautiful maroon paint is every bit as fresh as it looks: it's a DuPont three-stage job that was laid down in October of 2011. How nice is it? The work's guaranteed for three years-not many shops stand behind their work like that! The body is an original V8 shell born in Los Angeles and it's clean top and bottom. Body gaps are factory or better the trim's nice and shiny and many parts like the original grille remain. Those are American Racing Baja wheels 15x7 all around wearing BFGoodrich 235/60 and 255/60R15 Radial T/A's. In a sea of Torque Thrusts and repop rally wheels these polished beauties really stand out. The stance isn't ant-scraping low it's up higher where the ride's more comfortable and the burnouts are easier to see. No self-respecting 'machine would be caught dead without a deck lid spoiler or cowl hood-they just make the car. Inside you'll sit on new black seat covers grab the original rally steering wheel slice a fat B&M shifter through the gears blast tunes on the Kenwood deck check your vitals on the column-mounted tach and three-gauge panel on the dash and hang on. Original deluxe seat belts are at all positions crisp new door panels are at your sides and a sporty console is between the seats. Power steering and brakes make driving effortless... Who wants to work hard to look this good? Under the hood is a powerhouse 350 crate engine dressed up in classic street machine guise. There's fresh orange paint on the block chrome on the valve covers and the extra-tall air cleaner a big Edelbrock dual plane intake wearing a Holley 650CFM carb Hooker headers and of course a set of bright yellow spark plug wires. The build was done right too with a new water pump thermostat new hoses and even a new harmonic balancer. Backing the mill is a tried-and-true TH350 sending power back to a 10-bolt with an Auburn Posi 4.10 gears and a billet diff cover. The Hookers carry exhaust gases to the waiting H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers with axle dumps. Tailpipes need not apply! Disc brakes up front slow your pace while new bushings keep you pointed where you need to go. The floors and frame are in excellent original condition but this isn't some over-the-top trailer queen. It was put together to drive rumble and intimidate. There's a stack of restoration receipts we'll send along as well as the original underhood A/C components should you decide to reinstall them. Convinced yet? This is a great looking great sounding car that oozes a certain cool from tip to tail. It's fresh done right and just plain awesome. Call today!
