![1955 Chevrolet Bel Air]()
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air - $37,995 - Atlanta, GA - Tri-Five fans don't despair there are still some very nice drivable Chevys out there looking for new homes. Case in point? This handsome 1955 Bel Air with a period-perfect paint job a pro-built 350 under the hood and a comfortable interior with all the conveniences. This one definitely won't last long. A lot of hobbyists think the 1955 Chevys are the best of the bunch with the purest least finicky design and it's pretty hard to dispute that claim looking at this 210. The paint job duplicates one of the most unusual and dramatic combinations and uses the original break points to separate the stunning Shadow Gray over Coral. The colors are subtle and ideally suited to 1950s sheetmetal and it's a setup you are unlikely to see at a show so if you're sick of all the red and white Tri-Fives out there this is your antidote. All the original trim was removed polished and reinstalled once the paint was dry and preserves the timeless look of this '55. The bumpers have been rechromed the grille is in very good condition and the taillights wear blue dots for a traditional custom look in character with the rest of the car. Inside the charcoal fabric interior sticks to the basics and looks quite inviting in the Bel Air body shell. The door panels are a mixture of vinyl and fabric that is definitely a custom touch and it matches the carpets almost exactly. They retained the original dash and gauges augmenting them with a trio of Mallory auxiliary gauges hanging underneath. A later Chevy Camaro steering hangs on a polished tilt column and if the engine isn't entertaining enough there's a Sony AM/FM/CD head unit in the original dash location. Also note the expertly installed A/C system that blends almost invisibly into the interior and works well. The trunk has restored to stock condition complete with rubber mat and a full-sized spare. The engine is a sweet-running 350 with a few aftermarket speed parts and enough flash to make it worth opening the hood at the local cruise night. Chevy Orange gives it an OEM look while stock cast iron exhaust manifolds dump into a custom dual exhaust system with glass packs and chrome pipes tucked under the rear bumper. A TH350 3-speed automatic with a mild shift kit drives the original rear end which hangs on rebuilt leaf springs. Tubular shocks have been fitted the bushings are new as are the brakes from master cylinder to shoes. It rolls on a set of 7-inch Corvette Rallys wearing 235/60/15 BFGoodrich radials. Finished fully sorted drivers don't get much more appealing that this Bel AIr. To duplicate this car you'd be well past the asking price before you were done with the paint and chrome never mind the engine and interior. There's no denying the appeal of the '55 shape and when they're ready to roll like this one is they make for a very appealing package. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
